No activity logs
Our promise: Relane is built for privacy and access. We do not record the websites you visit, DNS queries, traffic contents, or apps you use. We also do not keep identifying connection logs (such as your source IP tied to a session or per-user bandwidth history).
What we collect (minimal & purpose-limited)
- Account & access control: email (if provided) or anonymous ID; subscription status and basic entitlement data.
- Service telemetry (aggregate/anonymous): server load, uptime, and app version/platform counts to keep the network healthy.
- Diagnostics (optional): crash reports and high-level error types (e.g., handshake timeout) if you opt in. These never include browsing contents.
- Payments: handled by payment processors (we don’t store your card details). We receive receipts/status to activate service.
What we don’t collect
- No traffic logs, browsing history, DNS logs, or content of communications.
- No persistent device fingerprinting or advertising IDs for tracking.
- No identifying connection timestamps or IP-to-account binding.
Legal bases & your rights
We process data to provide the service (contract), to maintain security and prevent fraud (legitimate interests), with consent (for optional diagnostics/communications), and to comply with law. Depending on your region, you may access, correct, delete, port, or object to processing. Email [email protected].
Retention
We retain the minimum necessary for the shortest time needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal requirements, then delete or anonymize. Optional diagnostics are time-limited.
Cookies & local storage
Our websites may use strictly-necessary cookies and privacy-respecting analytics with IP minimization. Apps store preferences locally on your device.
Third-party processors
We use vetted providers (e.g., payments, crash reporting if enabled) under contracts that restrict their use of data to our instructions only. We do not sell personal data.
Children
Relane is not directed to children under 16 (or higher local age). Do not use the service if you are below the applicable age.
International transfers
Where data moves across borders, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) when required.
Changes
We’ll update this page and adjust the “Effective” date when the policy changes. Material changes may be notified in-app or by email.
